Download Entire YouTube Playlists on Android
So you’ve been dealt a bad hand by your internet service provider and you have a spotty connection most of the time. Or maybe you’ll be traveling soon and won’t have enough mobile data to watch a course or lecture series on YouTube. Since the YouTube app doesn’t offer an offline download for playlists, here’s a simple solution that comes in the form of an Android app so that you can take your precious content wherever you go without relying on an internet signal.
Start Downloading YouTube Playlists on Android
Videoder [Free, contains ads] is an app made by Rahul Verma, in 2013 back when he was in college, and coincidentally, I’ve also been using the app since my college days. It’s an excellent solution for downloading YouTube videos and after some recent updates to improve performance & support for playlist downloads, it’s become my de facto method for downloading videos.

The app is free to download from APK Mirror or directly from their website but they generate revenue via banner ads placed in the app. But you also have to option of removing ads by paying a one-time fee of $3 by purchasing Premium Adfree from the Play Store.

How to Download a YouTube Playlist
Step 1 – Open the YouTube app and go to the Playlist you’d like to download. Once you click on the playlist, press the share icon.

Step 2 – Now select the Download|Watch button (Videoder icon)

Step 3 – Once you’re taken to the app, select the small lightning icon below each video thumbnail to select the quality of the download to start the download process. To select multiple videos at once press and hold the first video and then drag your finger down to select the rest of the videos or select each video by checking the tick box one by one.

The biggest advantage of using the app is the ability to manually select from multiple file formats like M4A, MP3 audio, and video formats such as 3GP, WebM, and MP4 by showing the file size of each variant.

Since the app supports multi-threaded downloads, you can increase the no of threads for faster downloading. One of the main disadvantages of the app is the lack of support for background music playback or PIP. Thankfully, an app like Newpipe to take care of those issues.
You can also have a look at a desktop program to download a YouTube playlists in case you have limited data from your network provider.
In fact, I think the best way to solve this problem is to use a comprehensive youtube downloader like Wonderfox hd pro. You can either download the youtube playlist or convert the downloaded video to your Android device.
