Gmail has reached its critical mass. It’s very slow regardless whether you set 1, 10 or 50 conversations per page. I have make it barely nothing and it’s still slow or “no information available” message most of the time. Most of the time means 70-80% of the time. Time to migrate to another email.

  4. Another great tip is to add ?nocheckbrowser to the end of the URL: https://mail.google.com/mail/?nocheckbrowser. This causes Gmail to load very quickly.

I’d just like to share that users of Norton internet security in january 2010 may have experienced a significant slowdown of gmail. The solution for these is to turn off the phishing filter in norton.

This issue came up at the same time that google switched from http to https as default, which adds to the confusion

good blog.. my 2 cents to load gmail faster.. try gmail gadget on igoogle page…not only it loads way faster than gmail but the icing is there r no advts in ur messages when u read it from the gadget…

just remove the other gadgets from ur igoogle home-tab n just keep the calendar n mail gadget on the home tab..n enjoy the difference of a super lightning fast gmail n calendar :)

u can create a separate tab for other sundry stuff…
