    Hi,

    1) Not access local hard drive much (as it puts a load on processor)
    2) And don’t try to open new application need(unless required).

    Wont this point help in saving power ??

    For a long battery usage:

    Unplug all firewire
    Unplug all USB devices
    Eject all removable disks
    Disconnect all internet conections
    close aplications you dont use
    Avoid using mouse.
    Dont use Keyboard.
    Turn off your monitor

    and then ….

    turn off your laptop and get a walk and fresh air
    you return with more energy ?-)
