Google Maps Now Allows You To Explore Other Planets!
Google Maps is one of the most popularly used applications made by Google. The app has been around for a long time now and is one of their most commonly used products. Be it for a daily commute or for creating a travel itinerary – Google Maps is the perfect app. There are a number of other uses of this app too. In a latest update, Google now allows users to explore not just places on earth, but on other planets too!
The process of mapping outer space began decades ago. 20 years ago when Spacecraft Cassini was launched to find out the secrets of Saturn and its moons, it sent back half a million photographs. Scientists put together these pictures to solve the mystery that other planets were. Over time this process improved and we know much more about other members of our solar system.
Scientists have mapped other planets and have named various mountains and valleys, craters, and other forms of naturally occurring identifiable structures. Google Maps now allows you to explore these planets too.
With outer space accessible on Google Maps, you can now check out the icy plains of Enceladus, which was among the first places in outer space where water is present. You can check out a number of other places such as the surface beneath the clouds of Titan and much more.
Google has added a number of other options which users can explore using Google Maps – A total of 17 planets (including earth) can now be explored using Google Maps.

This is a really cool addition from Google. With science fiction quickly becoming a reality – who knows you might be living on one of these planets in the years to follow – think of how useful this will be when this eventually becomes a reality!
