    I just tried this and it worked. 1 minute 20 second video. However, you only see a preview image in the doc, then have to double click the image, then click the image in the drawing window that opens up… If I can’t find a more fluid way to have it in the document I will probable reference the video via a link to it instead

    Ingenuous workaround! Only problem I found was that the Doc reader needs to have edit permission to open the drawing to view the video. However, if you add a link to Google photos to the drawing, readers with view permission can see the video.

    This is a very quick and useful tutorial. I was able to use this to put plyable videos in a google doc

    my web version of google docs does not have an insert video option thought why is that..
