Google Doodle For USA Independence Day and 1954 Football World Cup

Google seems to be very active in displaying doodles these days. Its home page again changed its logo for celebrating United States Independence Day and also 1954’s Football World Cup victory of Germany.

Independence Day is commonly known as Fourth of July in USA. On this day, States gained freedom from Britain. Actual historic day is 4th July, 1776. Carnivals, fireworks, baseball games and picnics are common activity on this day.[Wiki Page]

While on German home page, it’s a doodle representing their victory in football world cup. This tournament was held in Switzerland and West Germany defeated Hungary by 3-2 in finals. Its historical date because it’s for the first time they have become winners. Even television broadcast of matches and special coins were issued for the first time.[wiki page]
