Finally, A Google Logo For 40th Anniversary Of Apollo 11 Landing On Moon

I am no more disappointed by Google. The search mammoth has honored our request for the doodle for 40th anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on moon by displaying a beautiful logo at Google India.

Yesterday, I have told you about the launch of moon model on Google Earth. I have mentioned that Google failed to bring joyfulness on this event by not showcasing special doodle. However today, a special doodle was observed. The Apollo 11 mission was the first manned spacecraft to land on the Moon on July 20, 1969. [Wiki Page]


This is one of the most creative Google logo I have seen in recent time, where alphabetic characters are created by craters on the moon surface. And the L created by the pattern of footprints leading to the Eagle Lander.

This doodle was seen on Google India home page on 21st July though on 20th July, Armstrong and Aldrin became the first humans to land on the Moon. Showcasing the YouTube and Bing contributions for the day from the last day article:
